Taperwood, thanks for the interest and questions. Currently, the background
a developer must have to effectively program GEOS (that is, to provide
applications that will sell) is knowledge of C programming and at least a
vague understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

As GeoWorks is an operating system company and not a tools company, you won't
find our SDK to be an end-user solution. That is, creating GEOS applications
is *not* as easy as "drag and drop." You must program, and you must program
in C.

Next, you asked about future tools. GeoWorks would like to get such end-user
tools and intermediate tools available as soon as possible. We would like to
see companies that specialize in such tools to be among our early SDK users.
Neither we nor any third party have announced any products, however.

I am directly involved in our development effort, so you may mail questions,
comments, and suggestions directly to me.
