Why do you want to "rip the Zoomer?" Hey, you like your Newton... GREAT! It
may very well be the best possible PDA for you. But there are also folks who
will find the Zoomer better for their needs, jsut as some will prefer HP's,
Psions, etc.
I don't see palmtops and PDA's as a "one size fits all" industry. I hope to
get first hand experience with BOTH the Newton and the Zoomer, but I can tell
you right now the HP100LX will remain my personal, primary palmtop. I am NOT
saying its better than the Zoomer or Newton, only that it is better for MY
needs right now. Perhaps I'll end up with a Newton or Zoomer as a second
unit (or more likely my wife, since she is VERY interested in both).
Eventually, maybe a Newton, Zoomer, or some other device will replace my HP.
But right now, ONLY the HP has everything I need professionally. I wouldn't
suggest that it is better for you or anyone else (althought I have
recommended it to folks when they state their specific needs).
If you want to sing the praises of your Newton, great. But I don't think it
serves any purpose to belittle other products or their companies. If you
want to cite specific problems you have had with them, that's fine. Face it,
folks are taking pot shots at Apple now, too, and I suspect you would think
those comments are unfair. So rather than "ripping" companies or products,
how about sticking to features and first hand experiences only?
