missed the market opportunity in the previous market.
I see a similar potential here--Tandy fell back somewhat when Apple and IBM
became the big PC makers, but they're back, this time in a market that is
*MUCH* more familiar to them than the computer market--consumer electronics.
PDAs are supposed to be evolving towards a consumer point. Tandy and Casio
are big in consumer goods; what consumer devices has Apple ever sold? Apple
is out of their element, and they're the ones who have to prove they can play
in this industry. I'm not saying they can't do it--I'm merely pointing out
that Apple is the one who's entering new markets. Casio and Tandy are merely
introducing new technology to markets they're familiar with.
Just a different perspective...
