Zoomer and metal detectors

Metal detectors pose only a minimal threat to magnetic media, as it's not the x-rays, but the magnets in the conveyer belt that do damage. As the Zoomer doesn't store data magnetically, (it's all in the RAM) these machines don't pose a threat.

Also, you may have more luck using it on a plane if you can convince the flight personell that it's not a notebook computer, and has no moving parts (I know it probably doesn't make a difference, but if you say it confidently, they'll probably think you know what you're talking about.
