If you have the null modem cable you may need as many as three adapters
in order to connect to a modem. If the non-Zoomer end has holes (a female
connector) instead of pins sticking out (a male connector), you have
a null modem cable. You may need a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter, a null modem
adapter and a gender changer.
I have the modem cable which has a 25-pin male connector. I had to get
a null modem adapter and a gender changer (female to female). My local
Radio Shack didn't have a null modem adapter that had a female 25-pin
on each end.
You can either get the modem cable or you can buy three adapters. The
adapters are cumbersome but may come in handy for other applications.
Good luck,
