The UART chip is the one that
performs serial communications.
It seems to me that the logic
inside this chip should have
the smarts to manifest hardware
flow control without system
software having to enter into it.
I know that UARTs can be configured
by software controls to turn
hardware flow control on or off.

Chris D. and others have said in
the past that the zoomer can't do
hardware flow control. He's looked
into the technical specs more deeply
than most of us, I s'pose. But when
you think that itty bitty little
microcontrollers can have circuitry
that handles multiple serial lines,
why wouldn't Our Little Wonder have
a full RS232 capability.
I suspect that there is more to this
story yet to be known.

The zoomer can do 19,200 bps...
with GEOS turned off. Go figure.
