I have SoftAT and it has been more than adequate for running "ZoomCom" to
transfer to/from my Zoomer. I've also used it to look at text-based PC
CD-ROMs and run a program called "AutoMap" (which, when I got SoftAT was not
available for the Macintosh). I'm running this on a Centris 660AV. I still
use it to run ZoomCom even though I now have a real PC-compatible because
it's handier to run SoftAT than to boot up the PC just to transfer a file to
the Zoomer.
SoftAT is adequate for certain applications but it is no substitute for
PC-compatible hardware.
