MOTIF.GEO replacement question

Did I understand one of the previous messages that said you could replace
the old version of MOTIF.GEO for the new, with better screen
performance? I just checked the versions and found the following:

Version in Zoomer: MOTIF.GEO 221,380 8/10/93
Version from Publisher: MOTIF.GEO 224,236 5/25/94

Is it true that you can simply copy the newer version to B:\System or
C:\System and expect it to work better ? (a reboot may be required, I
would think). Any comments? Is the newer version above the latest rev ?
