I have my differences with Cserve, but you are probably "on the net" on
someone else's dime, more than likely your company or educational institution
(your *.com address suggests commercial). When the real costs of
"on-the-net" are calculated, more than likely $4.80/hour is a bargain.
I'm on CSERVE, AOL, and "on-the-net" at my company's expense. There is a
spot for all of these services. I use the CSERVE NovLibs index to find
Novell updates I want, since it's indexed well. Once I find the file name on
CSERVE, I FTP it directly from Novell, saving $$ and time.
Go to your local Internet provider - set up a PERSONAL Internet account
and/or SLIP account. If it's less than $20.00/month minimum and +/- $3.00
hour connect, I'd be surprised.
