some zoomer experiences

Just some experiences to share...

Two days ago, I was working on a ToDo list in my zoomer, sitting
at my desk at work. I got one of those dreaded KR-09 errors, and
had to use the B button to reboot. For the next 3 or 4 boots,
just after the initial screen came up, I got the same error,
each requiring a reboot. Once I got a KR-06. In my cube, I have
two large color monitors (a 19" and a 15"). On a hunch, I
thought that the RF might be a bit much and went down the hall
and tried to boot my Zoomer again. What do you know, it booted
A OK, however my DateBook, normally around 5K, was corrupted
and about 50K in size (I had a recent backup at home luckily).
The next day at my desk, I turned away from my Zoomer for a
second, and when I looked back the screen was blank. I turned
it on, and watched it boot (somehow reset). This time I didn't
loose any data. I decided to ditch the one machine and its
15" monitor. I haven't had problems since. Of course there is
nothing but circumstantial evidence here, but just a warning
about possible RF problems...

And now a question about Sketch or Notebook pages that have mixed
Text and Ink. There are a number of pictures in the Zoomer
manual that have Ink pictures, with Text captions, most notably
the planets of the solar system with their descriptions off to
the right. I have tried to do this for some time now. I thought
I could Cut Text (in text mode), then Paste it near my Ink
picture. However, you cannot place your cursor near the Ink to
paste there. After much frustration, the only way I was able to
do this was to use enough carriage-returns to get below the Ink,
and then enough space to get under it, and then write the text.
This can't be the way you have to do this, is it? If so, I
consider the pictures in the Zoomer manual to border on false
advertising :-)

On the bright side, this is the best PDA I've ever used, and
am very happy with it, especially since I got Graffiti!
