TextEditor on Zoomer?

I'm willing to give the disk spaced needed to use TextEdit on my Zoomer, but I
seem to have a Graffiti problem. The first time I bring up the editor the
Graffiti box is there and all is well, but whether I task-switch out or exit and
re-enter the Graffiti box won't show up again until after a reboot.

Any hope of using Graffiti normally in the Text Editor?
