Before installing I backed up the
little gizmo and installed a
new version of GEOS.INI, so that
any lines that Graffiti added would
not have to be undone. Since the
install, I used TextReader to see
what modifications Graffiti install
had made to GEOS.INI. I turned out
that a number of items that I had
in there had been deleted. For
example I had a bunch of lines in
the [link] section so that the
Zoomer would recognize more of the
drives on the PC during File Linking.
Even though the lines are gone the
links seem to perform well.
Anyhow, I interleaved Graffiti's
GEOS.INI and my other one into
a file B:\GEOS.NEW. I use the
ZDRIVER.BAT update that contains
lines that copy this file to
replace B:\GEOWORKS\GEOS.INI.
Only thing is that now it doesn't
work. I tried modifying AUTOEXEC.BAT
to contain these lines instead.
Many reboots later, still no soap.
What's up here? Why won't the methods
that worked successfully many times
before continue to work? At least
everything is working fairly well,
but this just bugs me.
