I too was wondering about that. To start a newsgroup vote, I have to send a
request to the Usenet Volunteer Votetakers and they handle it from there. I did
that about a month ago and haven't heard anything back. A day or so ago, I sent
another message to them asking if they received my previous request. Haven't
heard back about that yet, either :-(. I'll let you know as soon as I hear
something -- I'm hoping that the vote will get started soon and we can have a
newsgroup within the next couple of months!
