I have been making my own "barriers" from acetate sheets sold as Overhead
Projector sheets. I cut them slightly larger than the screen, about 1/16 of
an inch, and slip them under the edge of the housing. They have been fine for
me, very smooth and with no loss of accuracy. Any barrier however makes the
screen that much more reflective.
