I tried a while back (unsuccessfully )to install the expert mode stuff on my
AST Gridpad. It always said "waiting for command from remote PC:" or
equivalent which would scroll down if i pressed <return> which I tried after
about 30 minutes of waiting. I ended up pressing the hidden restart button
in the batt. compartment to get it going again. I decided to delay trying
this again until I had more time. Last night I tried installing Quicken
Connect and always got the "waiting for command from remote PC:" msg. My
laptop has only one comm port which I assume is com1. My Zoomer is set as:
File Transfer Options = serial cable, 19200. I also cannot seem to locate
the geos.ini file. Is it essential; if so, where should it be located. Can
it be transmitted via the infrared port (have a another Zoomer user at
work). My Zoomer has no added memory cards. All suggestion appreciated.
P.S.- Palm sent me a pen even thou I'm a second-hand owner.
