I've been looking for a decent deal on PCMCIA memory for my Zoomer for
a few months now, a deal I could make without being ashamed to tell my
friends about :-). I have not had any luck so far. Here are some of
the places I've contacted. If anyone knows of any good deals out
there, please share...

I was looking for (info mostly from FAQ):
- PCMCIA type 2 Flash ram, 5v, 50 ma. max draw
- most likely needs to be made by SunDisk to work
- All Sundisk SDP-5 and SDP-5A 5 volt flash cards are OK
- Sundisk uses the ATA FAT (floppy/hard disk style). This is good!
- Intel uses a new format called FFS Microsoft Flash File System.
This is BAD!
- looking for size 2-5Meg
- looking for around 40-50 dollars/meg

EAI @ 800-272-0272 (Casio)
Have 1.8Meg lists for 399.95, will sell for $279.95 +SH, Flash,
SunDisk type ($156 dollars/Meg)

Global @ 800-633-0633
Don't carry

Sundisk @ 800-535-2943 (specify SDP-5v, flashcards)
When I called above number, they gave me the number below which they
said was their customer service number (800 677 7001). When I called
this number, they answered as Educalc.

2.5Meg $309 SunDisk ($124 dollars/Meg)
5Meg, backorder until april. My previous experience is that this
card is hard to get from them, they always seem to be out of stock.

PC Zone
They had a Verbatum 5 Meg type II Flash, $379.98 ($76 dollars/Meg),
but had no idea what it was. They indicated they might match other
vendor's prices (no details). They gave me the following number to
contact Verbatum and see if it matched my specs; 800 722 0048.
The number had been disconnected.

LA Trade
Said they would FAX info to me on their cards, haven't received yet.

In general I was surprised at how little the sales people knew about
their PCMCIA Flash cards :-(
