I haven't tried it yet, but I think you need a null modem adapter, too. I'm
pretty sure Radio Shack sells a 9-pin null modem adapter, so try adding that
between the serial connector and the modem. If it works, let me know. I've
got the same setup (Palm Connect cable), but just haven't had the time to
get the adapter.
