I've noticed that too. It seems to be related to the multi-tasking
nature of Geoworks. If GW is doing something, it often takes longer for
the off switch to take effect. For example, if I've just switched from
Addressbook to Datebook and then turn off the unit, it might be 5 seconds
or more before the screen actually goes blank. I've noticed even with
the desktop version of GW that sometimes when it's busy, it won't notice
a keyboard or mouse input. So I assume that on the much slower (than my
486dx66) Zoomer, if it's doing something when I turn it off, it might not
"notice" that I've turned it off. This could be something I've done,
like switching apps, or something internal to GW or Zoomer.

So my solution has been to hold the switch down momentarily when I turn
it off. This seems to work nearly all the time.

I have no idea if this is what's really going on, but it seems to work
for me. :)
