zoomer-list has been moved to a new mailing list host and it will
be using new mailing list processing software. For technical reasons,
it will work better if you subscribe yourself to the new list than
if I were to move your subscription to the new list. Here's how
to do that:
Send mail to majordomo@best.com, and put one of the following commands
in the body of your message. There is no need to put anything in the
Subject: line.
subscribe zoomer-list
subscribe zoomer-list brians@best.com
subscribe zoomer-list-digest
subscribe zoomer-list-digest brians@best.com
Which should you choose?
- use "subscribe zoomer-list" if you want to receive individual messages
as they are posted to zoomer-list
- use "subscribe zoomer-list-digest" if you want to receive digests of
messages after about 40KB of them have accumulated on zoomer-list
- if you want to receive zoomer-list messages or digests at the e-mail
address from which you're sending your subscription request, then
there is no need to add "brians@best.com" to the subscription command
- if you want to receive zoomer-list messages or digests at an e-mail
address, then add "brians@best.com" to the subscription command;
substitute the address you want for brians@best.com
When you send in your new subscription, you'll receive a welcome message
with details about how the new list software works, how to send messages
to the list, how to unsubscribe, etc.
There is no need to unsubscribe from the old list on grot.starconn.com.
It will be closed within a few days.
