I uudecoded the necessary files from the archives and installed
everything as per instructions in said files. Everything seemed to go
fine (except for one glitch discussed later) and I began to explore.
When I got to the note book everything started to come apart. Opening
the notebook resulted in a total lockup requiring a soft reset to
continue. OK. Lets try again. Same thing. Then other apps started
to lock up. Opening an app and letting the Zoomer sit for a few
minutes resulted in a lockup.
Finally after about 5 hr of working with this I reset everything to
the original state (good backups) and am now back where I started
from.
Can anyone shed some light as to why what seems to be working for a
lot of other people fails miserably here?
As a side note I found that if you don't have a Flash/SRAM card the
autoexec.bat as distributed will cause an infinite loop requiring a
hard reset to recover.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
