I just received mine yesterday after ordering 5 days ago and waited to see
if it would work on my Z before I posted.
Card is from Verbatim and was recognized by my Z without any need to format.
After copying some enclosed files from the card to a floppy (using my
notebook computer), I deleted those files and File Manager says I have
2,076,672 bytes available.
Card was received with battery already installed so the amount of juice
remaining is unclear. Salesman says batteries are installed 1 hour
before sending. Card is similar to the Newton 1 meg card except for
capacity and the battery compartment is locked/unlocked via a *small*
screw (screwdriver is included with the card which comes packed in a CD
type jewel box).
Haven't tried (nor intend to try) Stacker on this guy.
This is a non-item for those of you with 5-20 meg flash cards...but some
of you with no memory card or who don't want to hassle with the extra
trouble required to protect flashcard data during low power operation
(as well as flashcard's reduced performance and increased power consumption
during write operations), may want to consider this item.
Vendor says they still have stock.
