According to GeoWorks, the next release of GEOS will include a TCP/IP
stack and many communication-related "hooks". Whether or not a version
of Mosaic is in the works is anyone's speculation. One major problem
that I forsee for us current Zoomer owners is that these rumored
enhancements will probably require an OS upgrade which simply cannot be
done on a Zoomer without a significant amount of memory. The new
GEOS-based PDA's rumored to be forthcoming within a year or so will
supposedly sport 386-class processors. Even if there was a
Zoomer-compatible version of Mosaic, I would suspect the speed would
suck. But, we can always hope!!! Someone on the list a while ago said
that the Zoomer's RAM and ROM are contained on a daughter board that
could presumably be replaced by an upgrade if Casio everdecided to make
one. Don't hold your breath.
