Memory Question

Does anyone have an idea why I would get an insufficient memory message if I only have 2 apps in the cache. I have set up my Zoomer so that the apps can be minimized or closed from the menu bar as found in Dave Goodman's Zoomer.FAQ file. Do I need to do a hard reboot? I wouldn't think so.
