Zoomer & QBasic .exe's

I want to use the Zoomer to save ASCII data that is coming in on the serial port. I am able to create a QBasic program to perform the functions
necessary on a PC, but will a compiled version of the program work on the Zoomer if I load via autoexec.bat when the Zoomer is booted up?
Are there any special considerations, parameters, etc.?

Any help would be much appreciated.
