Well, your printer port most likely is not COM2. Printers almost always are connected to the parrallel port which is not the same as COM2 ( a serial port) although the connectors are similar but of different gender. If you have two serial ports, you'll need to find out which one is which. Until then, I suggest you disconnect your cable from your printer port. Who knows what damage might occur.
