New Z-7000 Product!
A C language development environment for the Z-7000. And it runs on the Z-7000!
You can use this to write powerful, interactive C programs for your unit. Everything, including compiling, can be accomplished on the unit. A software keyboard is provided to text entry, as well as a text editor and other utilities (including com). You'll never need to leave DOS. This does not utilize Geos in any way, although you can access the Geos application data files with additional utilities.
This is not a forms based or windows system. It is used in the DOS environment. The system does provides basic graphics and keyboard/digitizer interface routines. You can make pretty sharp games and the like with it.
The system provides many more capabilities as well, but this gives you an idea. The question is, WOULD YOU BUY THIS?
The price will be under $50. In addition, upcoming tools will include a debugger (yes, a debugger for the Z-7000) and sound capabilities. These will be automatic upgrades (free) to registered users.
And there is more!
However, there may be a problem. There is a question of whether there is enough of a market for this system? So, if this is to come to market, there needs to be a strong positive response.
Please post this message anywhere there are interested Z-7000 users. It is important to get a big feedback. Hopefully there will be a very huge response. Even if negative, at least the user community will have a chance to speak!
As quickly as possible, send email responses to the following questions.
1) Would you buy this product? (Is this price reasonable?)
2) What type of capabilities would you like to see in it?
3) Would you like to pre-order the package - no cost until shipping. If so, information will be sent to you. You will not owe anything until it ships. It just shows support.
4) Any other comments.
Again, this is a real product almost ready for market. It can be out in a matter of a very few weeks (even sooner!)! However, it may never reach the market unless there is support.
Let the Z-7000 Community Speak!
