First I have to say it is a "most excellent" PDA and is a worthy
replacement for my now dead HP200LX. I have already transferred my
Phonebook (using GDBIO) and a lot of other stuff over. The Pen
interface and Graffitti are pretty neat.
The screen contrast of the OG though is really poor, even when
compared to the HP200LX and it is noticeably slower.
Questions:
1) When you begin to edit a note and decide you don't want
to save the changes, is the a way to cancel the editing?
It doesn't seem like there is one :-(
2) Does writing notes in the larger font increase the amount of
memory needed to save the data all? I would say no but want to
be sure. I find the small font a little difficult to read
in a lot of the lighting conditions I am regularly in.
3) Is anyone using the filemanager MANAGE.IZT? It gives me a
file selector but no buttons (copy, move etc) to manipulate files.
Am I missing something?
4) Is there a limit to the size of a file OGEDIT can open? I tried
opening a 28k text file and the OG totally hang. Had to stick a
paperclip in the reset "hole". I tried to open the file a couple
of times with the same result. I ended up moving the file to my
PC and splitting it into 5k chunks.
5)I also wish there is a way to turn of the OG using the PEN or
is there?
I guess I could just set the auto-shut off really low instead.
I know there is a "Touch screen to turn on" option but I
thought I ha read that this caused faster battery drain.
I would appreciate any details on this before decided whether
to use it. It is quite a nice option to have.
On another topic, first thing I tried with the SRAM card (PMC 2MB)
was a soft reset and so far no problems (knock on wood).
Thanks in advance for the help!!
