I just bought a 2 MB used memory card from Surplus Tech. The price has gone
up to $125 from $80 due to "increased demand". The card formats okay and
you can transfer files to it, but after five minutes or so or if you power
off and power on a dialog box pops up that says it can't recognize the card
and asks if you want to reformat it.

I haven't talked to Surplus so I don't know what their response will be.
When I bought it they told me I could return it within 10 days for a
refund--which is what I'm going to do, I guess.

I'm thinking about those MagicRam flash cards....
