For some reason when I try entering information in any of the built in
applications with fields (phonebook, database, etc.), I can't use the pen to
input information in any field but the first. In phonebook for example, I can
only enter information in the *Name* field with the pen. I tried tapping with
the pen in other fields, and I get an audio feedback confirming my tap, but the
cursor doesn't appear in any of the fields, and I can't write anything in them.
Keyboard entry works fine, however.
I haven't done any hacking around in my .ini file. My Omnigo worked fine last
week, but the lithium batteries that came with the unit died and I replaced them
with Radio Shack alkaline batteries. These batteries have always provided great
performance on things like my portable CD player, and Atari Lynx, but I came
across a post (I forget where), that said the Omnigo has a problem with Duracell
batteries because the power output drops off after a while. I was wondering if
the Radio Shack batteries have a similar problem, because pen entry in fields
worked for the first few days I had the Radio Shacks installed.
If anyone has had a similar problem or can give me an answer about the Radio
Shack batteries' performance on the Omnigo, any feedback would be appreciated.
