Re: Ogo & external modem

I got a modem working. I got the Connectivity Pack with cable. Then I made
an adaptor with a plug for the PC end of the OGO cable that looped back RTS
to CTS and sent just the TD and RD signal and ground through an ordinary
telephone cable. I already had a crossover switch with female phone jacks
that I made to run a modem with my HP-48. I also have similar adaptors for
my PC and modem but they have loop-backs for RTS-CTS and DSR-DCD-DTR. This
system is complicated and maybe more than you need to get a modem to work
but it will work with just about any RS-232 setup.
