Bindery provides a Zip-like compression for books which makes the answers
less than simple. The overall size of a book is limited only by the storage
space on the OG or the PCMCIA card. When building a book it's a good idea to
limit manuscripts to about 700 K, but a book can be composed of many
manuscripts. There's only a few K of overhead, which is more than compensated
for by the compression in a book of a few pages.
What's a "one-page" bitmap? One "page" on the OG might be considered 240x240.
That's 7 K, which might be reduced to half or more by compression, depending
on the complexity of the bitmap. If "one page" is 8x10 inches, then the
bitmap might be 50 K, and compress to perhaps 25 K, more or less, depending
on the complexity of the image.
