Connectivity Pack

My experience with the Connectivity Pack has been good with two
notable exceptions.

In its original iteration, if you marked TO DO items on your PC
as done, this would majorly screw up completely unrelated appointments in
your appointment book (i.e. make them disappear).

After downloading the patch which fixed this, everything worked
fine and even the apppointments which I had lost reappeared. I assume the
version know sold in stores incorporates this patch (ver 1.3?).

BUT, then I came across an interesting glitch which was in the
Patch version but was NOT in the original version. I use the notepad
feature to take notes in class, and usually fill up one note (about 175
lines) and go halfway through another per 50 minute class.

Well, after I installed the patch, I noticed that while I could
still type as much on the OGO, when I Hotsinked the notes to my PC using
the connectivity pack, the Connectivity pack would only transfer around
150 lines of each note. The notefile was still complete on the OGO, but
the version on the PC was missing the last 25 lines (I then export these
files to Wordperfect and make outlines from them).

Has anyone noticed this besides me? HP Support said "Uh, yea,
well, my supervisor says the buffer size is too small to transfer the
entire note." Thanks HP - WHY IS IT TOO SMALL?!? And how come it worked
before?!?

Until this is ironed out (assuming others have the same problem)
I would be careful delating very large Notepad files before you check
them on the PC.

Besides this, however, I have been happy with the Connectivity
pack - it makes it very easy to back things up, which means I back things
up ALOT (three or four times a week). IMHO that is a very important
attribute of backup programs. The more you have to think about backing
something up, the less you are going to back it up, and the more you will
loose WHEN (not if) the horific dataloss occurs.

Cheers
