Most likely, YES, damage would occur. I know of a couple people who have pushed
the voltage up to 4.5 V, but have experienced display problems - it starts to
blacken due to the higher voltage. I would guess (with my limited electronic
knowledge) that the limit is somewhere around 5.4V for the processor and memory,
but the display is designed for 3V.

Also be careful NOT to reverse the polarity of the AC connecter (or batteries).
You WILL lose all of your Omnigo memory.

The Omnigo was not designed in mind for a AC/DC adapter (although all of us
agree that it should have been).
