After a year of using my OGO 100, it died after a drop (it won't power up at
all). As I use it every day on the job, I bought a 120 and shipped the 100
off for repair. Now that I own both machines, I can make some fair comparison
comments:
Once I learned how to use the 120 screen (turning so that the light source
is coming from the right direction), I have found it MUCH easier to read in
normal living room type light than the 100. I like the additional hard icon
for quicken, and the unit feels a little lighter (?) Under certian
conditions, like marginal light, the 120 looks like it has a backlit screen.
I'm looking for a little clip on book light that will help the screen light
up in the dark. The 100 is probably a better dollar value, but if you work
in lower light settings, the 120 is probably the best choice.
I also played with the Pilot, Sony, Psion and WinCE PDAs in the store, but
I still like the OG's combination of pen input, rotating screen, fair
collection of software (at least vs. the Pilot) and price. It's not a palmtop
computer, but it does a lot for an organizer.
