Yep, it's a toggle switch that seems to tell the zoomer when to try to read
from the card and when to try to determine what kind of card it is. Without
it I'd suggest trying to flip the switch with a paper clip or something if
you can get in there to manipulate it.

As for GeoPublish, I got my Zoomer apps to run in Ensemble 2.01 by copying
over the B:\GEOWORKS\DOCUMENT files to my C:\GEOWORKS\DOCUMENT subdirectory
on my PC and also copying the apps themselves from B:\GEOWORKS\WORLD on my
Zoomer to C:\GEOWORKS\WORLD on my PC. The seem to work fine. I had to copy
over the apps one by one for some reason. I couldn't just tell it to copy
the entire WORLD directory over. I imagine the same process will work with
GeoPublish.

The core files that can be damaged etc. that you want to protect are probably
your \DOCUMENT\ files, since the apps are all "burned into" ROM on the
Zoomer's SYS:\ drive and won't be damaged or deleted by a hard reset. Your
\DOCUMENT\ files will indeed be deleted by a hard reset (but not a soft one).

Good luck
