Uhmmm, Steve .. EMBARC, a wholly-owned Motorola subsidiary, is a paging-like broadcast messaging service with coverage similar to SkyTel and MobileComm. The device you saw is our NewsCard PCMCIA Wireless Data Receiver .. and the parent product to the Apple Messaging Card we make for the Newton MessagePad. However, if there's still interest even with*out* the modem part, your vector to the EMBARC hotline is a good one.
