The success of PDAs, I believe, will hinge on its ability to communicate.
Especially for business use. And I don't want to carry around external
peripherals because that degrades the PDA's portability. Therefore, I think
a PCMCIA modem will be a popular accessory for the Zoomer. So far so good,
but there is a catch: The Zoomer only has 1mb RAM, which will not suffice a
business person carrying a full rolodex, lots of appointments, and a bunch of
notes. So now the user needs PCMCIA storage, and has the dilemma of swapping
modem and storage cards. What if something I want to transmit is on the
storage card?
The omission of a built in, high speed modem, or (even better) second PCMCIA
slot, is a big drawback.
