My point of 3 months was similar to what you've described. Looking at Newton, I've met people that have said basically that same thing. Some immediately, but not the kind of thing that you can teach it quickly. It takes time, and in that time, I (who've also had Drafting experience) print well enough to make the Zoomer a superior option for ME...and only ME.
My prior point to the other writer, is that he's discounting the Zoomer because of it's chip...not thinking about the amount of work that 8088 can now do, thanks to the technology, and Geos.
By the way, I'm working on an article for publication, I hope, that deals with the printing difficulties that the Zoomer does have, though most are trivial and easily overcome.
