"Okay, so how do I enter this fantastic PDA GIVEAWAY?"
To enter our contest you must enter your name in our special Psion
Contest folder located in the PDA/Palmtop Forum "Palmtop Folder" or the PDA
General Folder. Take the shortcut via Keyword : PDA, then select the message
board icon. From there list the categories, then select the Palmtop or
General folder and list categories there as well. Once listed you will see
the Psion Contest folder.
That was :
1) Keyword PDA,
2) Go to the message boards and list the categories,
3) Open the Palmtop or General folder, list categories, and
enter to win in the folder labeled : "Psion Contest"
Got it?
"Sure, but then what do I do?"
Just tell us what you would do with a Psion PDA in 50 words or less,
and don't forget your real name as well as your screen name. Post your entry
to the Psion Contest folder. We will award the Grand Prize on March 23, to a
randomly selected entrant.
In addition to this random drawings during the conference, we will be
looking for especially creative entries of the 50 word essay. The best
description (based on idea, creativity and expression) will win a special
movie theme "Neon Look" wall clock. There are also 2nd and 3rd place prizes
for best 50 word essay. Judging of the essays will be by the PDA Forum
Staff. All prizes will be announced online during the conference.
"Okay, but when do I get the good news?"
*** You have to be on-line on March 23rd to win! ***
Get the word from the guys at Psion itself. All you have to do is
show up for the Psion Palmtop conference on March 23rd! These people make
some of the finest PDA Computing hardware and software on the market, and
they've been at it for years. The conference starts at 9:30PM and lasts
until 11:30PM EST.
We will award the prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place "best essay"
winners during this conference. We will also hold the special random drawing
for the Grand Prize sometime during the conference. Nobody knows when, so
show up and find out!
Finally, not to leave anyone out in the cold, additional prizes will
be awarded randomly throughout the conference, every 15 minutes! You must be
on-line in the conference room when the drawings are announced.
"But sometimes the conference room is too full for me to enter..."
If the conference room is full don't despair we will try to find you
on-line and get you into our conference room to accept your prize, but you
must be in our conference room or on-line to win.
But remember,

How can you lose? Just enter our 50 word essay contest to be eligible
for great prizes. Since we will be giving away additional prizes randomly
every 15 minutes during the conference your chances of winning are excellent.

Prize chat!
Remember we will be awarding the Grand Prize at random during the conference
so you never know when you might win - but I can tell you this it will be
sometime between 9:30PM and 11:30PM EST on March 23, 1994! Good luck and get
those entries in now! Entries will be accepted up until 6PM on March 23,
1994.

CONTEST RULES:
1) All participants must enter the 50 word or less contest to be eligible
for any of the prizes. You must include your full name and screen name
too.
2) All prizes will be awarded at the Psion conference on March 23rd.
3) You must be present to win.
4) The top 3 essay entries judged superior in idea, creativity and
expression will be awarded at the conference.
5) One winner will be selected at random from the entries to receive the
Grand Prize (Psion PDA).
4) At fixed 15 minutes intervals, additional random drawings will be made to
determine supplemental prize winners.
5) The PDA forum staff will be the judges. All decisions are final and not
subject to appeal.
6) PDA Staff and Relatives are not eligible to participate.
Contest #2
*** CALL FOR THE GREATEST PDA/PALMTOP OF THEM ALL ***
Hear Ye, Hear Ye
By the will of the honorable people of the PDA forum, this call is
hereby entered. Let it be heard throughout the lands, that the Kingdom of
Cyberspace is in dire need. Our spirits are parched and must be answered.
Let that person who hath the power, render upon us the finest, fairest and
noblest PDA/Palmtop design of them all. Thusly shall our gloom be lifted.
Yet, only an design of unprecedented power and imagination may seek the
prize.
To the one who can thus deliver, will come great rewards.
Submit thy designs on parchment (with letters or figures) to the royal
libraries or boards, where the Officers of the Court, the very knights of the
PDA Staff, shall enter final judgement. Let the Day of Judging be not more
than one month from now.
To the ones whose designs are deemed most creative shall be issued
forth the riches of this world :
To the victor proper is granted five hours. Let him drink from the cup
of AOL, and wear the stately T-shirt garment of the same. In addition, the
victor shall be blessed with that most valuable of tomes, the AOL Tour Guide
signed by Steve Case and Tom Lichty himself.
To the next fortunate, we grant three hours. Let him also wear the
banner of AOL in the form of a T-shirt. He too shall drink from the chalice
marked well with the sign of AOL.
To the third nobleperson, the reward is thus: Two hours from the
hourglass. Let him also wear the garment and raise the AOL flagon, so richly
bestowed.
With much pagentry, the winners shall be borne forth in ceremony on the
9th of March at the conference of the Blue Sky. Then, and only then, will
there be much rejoicing.

Rules Summary:
1. All entries MUST be posted in this folder - the staff will NOT repost
entries from other boards.
2. All entries posted by noon (Eastern time zone) March 9, 1994, will be
eligible.
3. Winners will be announced at the March 9, 1994 "Blue Sky" conference. You
do not need to be present at the conference to win (but you'll want to be
there anyway ;).
4. All decisions of the judges will be final, and no substitution or transfer
of prizes. If there is an entry duplication or tie, the earliest post will
be the chosen.
5. HAVE FUN!!!
6. Awards are:
First Place: 5 free hrs online time, AOL T-shirt, AOL mug, and an
autographed, first edition of the AOL Tour Guide (Mac Version, although we
will see IF a PC version can be produced should a PC owner win).
Second Place: 3 free hrs, T-shirt & mug.
Third Place: 2 free hrs, T-shirt & mug.
