I've found that velcro works very well for this sort of thing.  Put the
hooks on the case, clipboard, car dash, etc. and the fuzz on the
computer (unless you want the computer to stick to a sweater).  The
cover won't break off (that way anyway), and the cover can still
protect the screen.
