As for a good substitute pen, I have discovered the utility of the BIC brand
mechanical pencils. They are made of plastic and come in either black with
bright colored "trim" or in multi-wild-colored bodies. With the lead fully
pushed in, the pencils make a nice full-size stylus for the Zoomer. The
plastic tip is friendly to the Zoomer screen - after using one for a month and
a half I see no scratches or other problems - and the tip is narrow enough to
write a line like the built-in pen. The nice thing is that they are so cheap,
I bought a 10-pack and keep them everywhere so I always have a full-sized
stylus handy.
