- initially, the RAM card was not recognised. I little push of the
reset button cured that.
- the reason for pressing the reset button was manifested by something
else - Quicken seemed to do something strange when I used it for
a particular account. Initially, I noticed that after writing a cheque
from account 1 that should have paid the balance in account 2,
account 2 did not display as a zero balance in the little banking
account list. When I tapped on account 2 to get a list of transactions,
it showed the final balance as being zero and that the cheque from
account 1 had indeed been posted against it. I continued to try using
it and got the following message:
----------------------------------------
System Error Code: KR-09

Press Right button to exit. If this
fails, try restarting your unit.

----------------------------------------
At which point I had no choice but to press the right button and have my
unit reset for me. The same behaviour is occuring as I write this, so I'm
thinking of removing the account (only a small number of transactions) and
re-writing it. I don't know if it matters, but the Quicken document was
in B:, not the RAM card.
Strangely enough, nothing else seems to be wrong and the RAM card seems fine.
Any takers to explain this?
..Billy
