On my unit, the speaker is quite faint, even with the volume turned
up all the way. I generally miss event alarms even when I have the
zoomer on my person, for example. I know that the loudness is subjective,
but is this normal, or might my unit be defective? (or am I loosing

The default Volume setting (and that used by all internal apps on the Zoomer)
is purposely set low to conserve battery life. Additional apps that use
sounds can set the sound loud enough to vibrate the Zoomer.
Something to ask about in an upgrade..
