Gosh, I thought that ^L's worked for PalmImport, but it's been a while since I
used it. I needed to reconstruct some notebook files that had been corrupted,
and I used MKS Toolkit "strings" (same function as UNIX "strings") to extract
text from the corrupted file and then manually editted it into an Import
format. I'll double-check a little later and report back, but I think that I
was able to specify page breaks with ^L .
BTW, using "strings" seemed to be more effective than the PalmConnect /
Ensemble "salvage" program :-).
My gripe about all of this is that Export doesn't put ^L's in to delineate
pages. Yeah, OK, I know, it's free... but I would really like it if Import and
Export were fully interoperable so that one could Export and then Import a
notebook file and end up with the same notebook file (sans ink of course).
