Hi,
My name is Mark Garula, I am a Electrical Engineer with Electronic
Data Systems, Ross Perots old company. I just bought a Zoomer and I am
looking for someone who could help me get up and running. I must confess
the day I bought my Tandy Zoomer I fully intended to buy a Newton, but the
salesman at the H.H Greg store was having problems finding the battery pack
for the demo unit. So, I walked next door to the radio shack to look for a
Octal buffer I needed. While there I found the last Zoomer the store had,
and at a good price (half that of the newton). From looking at the Zoomer
WWW page this list server seems to be the place to reach the people in the
know. Here are the questions I have.

1) What enhancements or upgrades are availible at what cost and where?
Including new or different OS's

2) What modems are availble? Radio shack offers a 2400 baud modem, but I
would really like something much faster.

3) Is there software availible for downloading my address book from windows
Packrat version 4.1

4) Is there any general communications software availible to replace the AOL
interface. No offense but it is more ecomnomical for me to pay twenty bucks
for a commercial SLIP account with unlimited acces than the cost for AOL? A
dialup Email client something like PC Eudora or the like for getting my
mail. A Web browser would also be great.

5) Is there a way to upgrade the internal memory to a larger amount?

6) The manual said I can use PCMCIA flash disks, I believe Sundisk is
recommended, but it also said something about not beable to create documents
on them, whats the deal?

7) Lastly if you were me and you just bought a Zoomer what would you do?

As I said I was prepared to spend over $300.00 more than what I paid for the
Zoomer, so I have money to burn if any of you could be kind enough help me
spend it in the most usefull manner.
