The current Zoomer keeps about 3 apps (depending on size) in memory in 
order to rapidly switch between thos apps.  Thus if you have your phone
book and calendar opended you can quickly switch between them.  This is
a great feature.  If it really stopped each process it would have to load
the app back to switch (that's when you see the "pleas wait..." box) to it.
I think that would not be good.  If an app has a lot of data and that data
is kept in a VM-File GEOS can load the VM-file pages directly into memory
when that data is needed.  It does not have to load the entire VM-File that
is the beauty of VM-files.
