GeoComm & Graffiti problem

Hi:

I recenly posted this question on the PDA forum on AOL, and no one there
could help me. So I decided to ask all of you for any advice regarding this
problem.

I recently purchased a used copy of Ensemble 2.0. After loading to my
laptop, I wanted to load GeoComm onto my Zoomer. So I copied TERM.GEO to
B:\geoworks\world on my Zoomer, and copied over the TERMCAP and COMMACRO
folders to the b:\geoworks\userdata directories. After I did all of that I
pulled up Geocomm and all looked fine. I could even dial and get a
connection. The only problem is that I can write anything! The Graffiti
box is grayed out, and won't let me type in anything, either before or after
connecting.

I have tried every possible setting on the Geocomm software and
Preferences\Connect\Modem I could think of. I even hard reset my Zoomer to
a virgin state, configured the modem settings, loaded Geocomm, and it still
would not work; the little default keyboard was grayed out. I have also
tried 3 different external modems at speeds ranging from 1200 to 9600 baud.

I am pretty sure that modem settings, cables, etc are ok because I can get
it to dial and give me a CONNECT message on the screen, as well as hang up,
etc. Also, AOL works just great from my Zoomer.

I have a feeling that I just forgot to do something very simple, but I cant
figure out what it is. If anyone out there has a fix for this problem, or
at least has seen it before and given up, I would appreciate knowing about
it. I want to use my Zoomer to check email, and my next project will be to
hook it up to my cell phone. THanks in advance. ray
