Graffiti is a must as far as I'm concerned. The handwriting recognition that
comes with the Zoomers is pretty useless. Graffiti takes about 60K of space
to install and I think about anouther 60K for a help menu. It does have a
little box that you write i, but you don't have to use it. The problem is if
you don't write in the little box the punctuation stuff doesn't work. You can
size the box to whatever size you like and position the box anywhere on the
screen. Graffiti becomes integrated with all your applications except the
shareware IZL program. The best price seems to be Radio Shack. I couldn't fnd
it cheaper anywhere.
As for the IR port, Radio Shack had planned on making a PC to IR port device
but never did build it. I tried finding info on it with no luck.
As for deleting the 190K for AOL, consider buying a SRAM card for memory
instead. I just bought one from Surplus Technologies (a 2 Meg card ) for 79
bucks. It seems to work real well. The only thing I was not thrilled about is
that when I received my card the invoice said that it was "USED", while the
product sheet never mentioned that, nor did the salespeople. Cards have a
limited number of Writes so I consider what they did pretty unethical.
Anyway, there number is 214-224-7906
