If you're in Windows, you can select non-standard IRQ's for your com ports
under Control Panel , Ports.
Since you probably won't use your modem AND your Zoomer connect cable at the
same time, they could share the same IRQ. There are many ways to do it. I
use COM3 for my PC->Zoomer connections. It shares the same IRQ as COM1 and
thus my modem, but I can keep from using them simultaneously.
Experiment.
