Screen initalization

Help. My Zoomer was working fine yesterday, but today the the screen would not respond to the pen in the right place. I tried a soft reset. That didn't work. So I tried a hard reset. Now the screen will not initialize on the lower half of the screen. It must be a software problem, because after the hard reset, it asked me to adjust the contrast and touch the screen to continue. I made sure that I touched the lower half of the screen, and it wourked fine. I get to the pen initialization, and it won't recognize the lower squares. It will, however, move on to the next screen when I touch some of the permanent icons. But in the next screen where it asks for the time and date settings, the lower 1/2 does not work, and I can go no further for setup. Is there a solution to this problem that I can do at home? This is not an isolated case. I have spoken to some other Zoomer owners and it has happened to some of them, too.
